As an Accounting Associate, you will play a critical role in transaction processing, data entry, and financial recordkeeping. You will work closely with Staff and Senior Accountants, ensuring that client financials are accurate, organized, and properly maintained. This role is entry-level and provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Processing & Financial Data Entry
Process accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Enter financial data into accounting software, maintaining up-to-date and organized records.
Assist in bank and credit card reconciliations, verifying transaction accuracy.
Monitor client invoices and payments, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
Accounting & Compliance Support
Support general ledger maintenance, ensuring correct coding and transaction classification.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, compiling data for senior team members.
Work with the compliance team to maintain audit-ready records for FEC and regulatory filings.
Follow internal control processes to ensure financial data integrity and security.
Technology & Process Efficiency
Utilize QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and internal accounting software to manage client financials.
Assist in process documentation and improvements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Work with the accounting team to automate and optimize transaction workflows.
Onboarding & Development
Participate in a structured training program, gaining expertise in financial operations and compliance, which will ensure comprehensive readiness for specialized work in our field.
Work closely with Staff and Senior Accountants for mentorship and learning opportunities.
Develop foundational accounting skills to prepare for growth into more advanced roles.
Performance & Growth
Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all financial tasks.
Participate in internal training, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required.
0-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience preferred.
Experience with accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), or bookkeeping is a plus.
Skills
Basic knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software (or willingness to learn).
Ability to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
Strong data entry and numerical accuracy skills.
Highly detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy.
Organized and process-driven, with the ability to follow structured workflows.
Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively with a team.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
